I use my iphone in the car to play through the radio via a third party direct wire. During my commute, I can stream Rdio, Pandora, and NPR without a problem. I also listen to podcasts and music from my own music library. I hardly ever use the car radio. Never use the CD player.

My speakers in the living room give me nice, big sound. I stream from my laptop, phone or tablet to an Airport Express hooked up to the amplifier in the other room. Nice to have great big sound while I'm working. There is something about larger speakers that let you hear the music louder without really inhibiting conversation.

I've been collecting music for a long time. I still have cassettes, LP's and CD's although hardly anyone in my family uses them anymore. Now all I need is a computer to get faster access to my music library. Its still great to hear high quality music though a nice amplifier and the speakers we had built into the dining room walls. I wonder how long these shelves will be here.
