Family Shopping Needs
Submitted by Jeanette Carroll
Kids area in the children's area at a new Gordman's store in St. Paul (if you are unfamiliar Gordman's is like a TJ Maxx/Marshall's). I think we are seeing more and more of this throughout multiple stores where they address the needs of family shopping. The concept is good but this execution is not up to par. The round seats were hard plastic--way too hard and rough to really sit comfortably --but maybe works for climbing kids. Seemed to dedicate a lot of space to this rather cute spot. The screen attracted my daughter and she was willing to stay there while I looked at kids clothing. I thought it was a little too much of a hard-scape design and we could definitely do better.
