New York Wooster Group Audio Video Table

Not the best pics, but this is how we document. From our last set up. The thing is, our set ups are SO ludicrous in scope of components that there is no systematized approach to cable management. We have to set up and take down and transfer and repatch dozens of hard drives, computers, monitors, midi controllers every day basically. The table that all these components is on has to roll about 16 feet from side to side during the show by the way. We would use zip ties, but they are too permanent. We would use tape but it's not strong enough. We end up using C-clamps mounted to the table and tying and routing loops of cable through those with tie-line (strong black cord used all the time in theater to...tie-up cable). That way they are infinitely configurable, strong, and break down simply. hope this helps!
