DIY Spine Doctor
Submitted by Adam Croan
I have several tools in my kit for relieving exercise- or work-induced knots and back/neck pain. Applying pressure with these objects and electric massagers releases tension and increases range of motion. I've learned about each of my tools from yoga teachers, massage therapists, an osteopath and friends.
-While very helpful at home, many of these tools either don't travel well or don't make it into the bag before I dash out for the airport.
-Uncertainty on level of pressure to apply to a particularly sore spot that is therapeutic, versus aggravating the spot, and my lack of knowledge on trigger or root-cause spot location, versus the tender spot.
-Leveraging e-health technology to target and apply pressure via accessories and apps, could restore mobility more effectively and would be with me wherever I go.
-Influencer recommendations on tension-relief solutions could be actualized immediately and more frequently via app download (and accessory cross-sell), versus finding at retail.
